Night Time Enterprise Zones

→ Amy recognised boosting the social and economic recovery of local high streets after 6pm must be a crucial focus in London. Night Time Enterprise Zones (NTEZ), a partnership between Amy, the Mayor of London, and the London Economic Action Partnership, emerged in response to the challenges faced by London's nightlife due to the COVID pandemic and the cost of living crisis.

Through a groundbreaking collaboration with three London local authorities, NTEZ successfully delivered vibrant events, extended business support, and provided assistance to night workers. It pioneered innovative ways of living, working, and doing business after dark. The NTEZ model is now inspiring other cities across the globe to unlock their night time potential.

56 events took place across three zones.

65 businesses extended their opening hours during the events – which increased the average local spend by up to 70 per cent between 6pm and 9pm compared to the same dates in 2022.

Over 69% of people surveyed said they felt safer during events and the majority felt more positive about their area, and the programme created new partnerships and networks within the areas, with 646 businesses engaged.
